Cottonwood Park is a wilderness oasis, nestled between Kluane Lake and the magnificent St. Elias Mountains. The Park lies adjacent to the Kluane National Park and directly on
the shore of Yukon's largest and most beautiful lake. This makes our campground popular with all visitors, from the RV traveler to the tenter, cyclist and avid hiker.
The Park offers a wide variety of services including hot, un-metered showers, excellent drinking water, a laundromat, dump station, water and electrical hookups and tent
sites along the shore.
A new log cabin is also available for rent on a daily or weekly basis. "The Grandview" has a spectacular view and grizzlies have been observed from
the safety of the cozy cabin on the shore of Kluane.
We are located at km 1717 on the Alaska Highway, 50 miles north of the Kluane Park's Visitor Centre in Haines Junction. The Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre is just next door
(3 miles south) while Burwash Landing, the site of one of Yukon's finest wildlife and natural history museums, lies 26 miles north.
Cottonwood Park is family owned and operated since its inception in 1980. As we are one of the Yukon's most wilderness campgrounds accessible by road, we are required to
generate our own electricity. The Park is clean and well kept, not only for visitors but to keep grizzly bears and other unwanted guests to a minimum. Although grizzlies
do frequent the campground on occasion, we are on constant bear patrol, trying to keep both visitors and bears safe. Our small convenience store offers necessary staples
and a selection of souvenir handicrafts and t-shirts. The visitor may purchase a fishing license, choose from a selection of videos or treat themselves to homemade bread
or cinnamon buns upon availability.

Along our stretch of the Alaska Highway you will not find electricity or municipal services. Cottonwood's guests enjoy these simple luxuries because of our extensive
investment in infrastructure which includes:
three diesel generators (because we generate our own electricity, we are forced to limit our guests to a 15 Amp electrical service)
hot, un-metered showers
ultra clean washrooms
glacier fed water well
sanitary pump-out station
coin-operated laundromat
hot tub
mini-golf
horseshoes
volleyball

20 serviced sites with electricity and potable water
10 lakeside sites with electricity
20 un-serviced lakeside sites
Ultra luxury log cabin with spectacular view and private outhouse
Rates start at $16 CAD per night. Group rates for caravans are available upon request.
