The Yukon Underwater Diving Association (YUDA) is a non-profit organization
created by sport divers to promote the sport
of underwater diving in the Yukon, Northern British Columbia and South
East Alaska.
YUDA has been an active dive club since it's formation in the mid 1970s
and has participated or sponsored a variety of
projects and scheduled dive events. These include such things as weekly
evening dives, excursion dives to Juneau, Skagway
and Haines in SE Alaska, underwater garbage cleanup in local lakes,
the Annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest and
many more. YUDA has also been actively involved in the exploration
and documentation of Yukon's underwater historic sites,
some of which date back to the turn of the century and the great Yukon
Gold Rush.
