Village Council has approved a new rental rate when you rent the Arena and Mezzanine together. The new rates are:

GOLF COURSE UPDATE
Ten people attended the public meeting in early November to hear plans to develop a golf course in the Haines Junction area. Five people volunteered to form a steering committee, with John Taylor being the Chair. The first steps will be to look at possible choices of land, gather information on funding options and investigate forming a society. The committee meets the first Monday of each month. The next meeting of the committee will be 12 noon, Monday, January 8. For more information, please call John at 634-2038.

Culture, Parks & Recreation Committee News
Thanks to Chair Rob Moore and Member Marty Pauls for their past service on the CPR Committee. Congratulations to Claire Dulac on being appointed as the new Chair.
Based on the CPR Committee's recommendations, Village Council is pleased to award the following Recreation Grants:
- Boys Basketball - $528 for uniforms
- Champagne & Aishihik Youth Centre - $1,500 for repairs to equipment, a basketball hoop and bakeware.
- Minor Hockey - $4,122 for facility rental
- Rodeo Committee - $3,500 for materials for bleachers
The Junction Function Funding Foundation is pleased to award the following grants:
- Girls Basketball - $680 for travel and to purchase balls.

- St. Elias School - $105 to bring a puppet show here.
- Volunteer Fire Department - $200 for the Halloween fireworks
- Champagne-Aishihik First Nation - $210 for Christmas Gifts for children & elders.
